Get your 501 C 3 now!

Dear Friends, Family, Clients, and Community Members: As many of you know, I recently self-published my autobiography. The book sold nationwide and I went on tour. I used the profits from the book to open a center for homeless women and to secure our 501 C 3. While the women and I were away, the center was vandalized and had to be closed. We need $24,000 to repair the center. I am seeking $24 from 1,000 women. Winter is coming soon. These women are in need of shelter. I pray that you will partner with me to reopen the center ASAP. In exchange for your support, I have several gifts available. You can choose which gift(s) you desire:

1. A copy of my upcoming book From Bankrupt Single Mom to International Speaker. (For a $24 gift)

2. Free admission to one of my business and empowerment conferences. (For a $24 gift)

3. A CD copy of my women’s message entitled Are you pitiful or powerful? You can’t be both! (For a $24 gift)

4. A copy of my autobiography entitled Thongs & Bra Straps. (For a $24 gift)

5. Book Publishing/Nonprofit Incorporation/501 C 3 application support. (For a $200 gift)

The Henry Johnson Center is a 501 C 3 organization. Your contributions are tax deductible.

Although I am now a doctor and an international author, I am no stranger to poverty and homelessness. It is my goal to help other women avoid such tragic circumstances.

Please contact me today to provide your assistance.

God Bless You,

Dr. Angela Isom

Is it too late to save Generation X? by Dr. Angela Isom

Is it too late to save Generation X? By Dr. Angela Isom

There is a never ending debate about the worthiness, or lack thereof, of Generation X. "Generation X" is a term used to describe people born between 1965 and 1978 or from 1961 to 1981, depending on which resource you consult.

Either way you define it, I am still a member of Generation X.  A generation that many consider to be hopeless, helpless, lazy, violent, and the list goes on.... I have even heard some Baby Boomers voice their concern that, "the few decent members of Generation X can not undo the damage of the rest of the population; therefore, the world is in trouble!"

I am eager to hear your thoughts about this issue, please comment on my blog.

Admittedly, many of the words above described me during my youth.  If you'd have looked at my juvenile police record, my report cards, my choice of music, my choice of friends, or my choice of boyfriends, you'd have considered me a lost cause. However, I am so grateful to my father. He was a criminal and a drug addict during my teens. Yet, he came to my house and took me to church whenever he could. I returned to this same church when I became an adult and yearned for a Word from the Lord to add direction to my life. I am so grateful to my grandmother and grandfather that came to my rescue every time I was kicked out of school or detained at the police station. I am grateful to my mom for teaching me how to read and write, for her words of encouragement, for believing in me, for etc....

I have to admit that it is stressful and discouraging to deal with troubled youth and endure their foolishness. Furthermore, it is even more difficult to deal with adults that continue in the behavior of their youth. But should we give up on them altogether? And are there really too few respectable members of Generation X?
